There was this candescent and mesmerizing fire—
That lit up right before my two twinkling lenses.
It became that of which I suddenly desire—
So smitten, I nearly lost control of my senses.
As I'm about to touch it, I learned 'twas toxic—
Gonna burn my whole being 'til I'm like ashes.
Extinguishing the flames should be cathartic—
But why's my heart losing its fabricated patches?
O, Apollo! Your face adds fuel to the flames!
My heart gets CPR-ed for it to be revived—
Although, just recently, the warm light slowly fades.
It's still unclear when, without these embers, I'll survive.
